- Where do come from?
The city where I live is Shahabad Markanda. It’s located in the north of India.
Work and studies (always in use)
- Do you work or are you a student?
Well, I am an IT engineer working in one of the most popular IT solutions companies in my hometown. I’ve been working there for almost 5 years now and I absolutely love my job because it’s the type of job that really lets you utilize all of your talent. One day you can be making software and next day you can be troubleshooting the same. It’s so versatile. Actually, It’s for people who don’t want to be the same as the day before.
- What work do you do?
I mainly work on software systems and my responsibilities are: training staff on newly installed software and fixing hardware and networking issues just to name a few.
- Why did you choose that job?
The reason is straightforward. I am a big fan of computers. I really love to involve myself looking at and understanding future cutting edge technologies to see how they can be applied to our products. Though there are times when I feel like exhausted after working prolong hours coping up with a tiny problem, still working in IT field gives me a sense of satisfaction.
- Do you like your job?
Undoubtedly yes, technology is my thing and I can’t live without it. And what I love the most about my job is the flexibility which actually helps me to strike a work-life balance. If needed, I can work online from my home as well.
- Is there anything you dislike about your job?
Frankly speaking, I’ve never given a serious thought on this. Though I seldom get frustrated because of the tight deadlines set by extremely demanding clients, I can’t do anything as It’s a part of my job.
- What was your dream job when you were young?
To be honest, it was completely different than what I’ve been doing now. In my adolescence, I always wanted to be an accountant. Therefore, I chose accounts as a major in my studies
- Do you miss being a student?
That’s an interesting question. As a matter of fact, I do sometimes. Most of the time, when I am either sitting ideal at home or got really frustrated with my work but that’s what life is all about. Move on. You can’t just stand still at one place. Nevertheless, I do reunion to after a small period of time to refresh all my sweeten memories with my friends.

- Tell me something interesting about your hometown.
Well, it’s famous for the Panorama Museum which is located in the heart of the city. And yeah, Markandeshar Temple is also a worth visiting place. Tourists tend to flock there to worship lord Shiva, especially on weekends. If you could do only one thing in Shahabad, I would recommend going to the temple.
- Do you like your home town?
Of course, my city is a great place to live as it has all the necessary facilities and amenities available. On top of that, the place is surrounded by greenery which actually makes it one of the most peaceful cities to live in Haryana. And what I love the most is the 24×7 public transport system. You can easily hop a bus even at midnight.
- Is that a big city or a small place?
In terms of area, it’s not that big but yeah one can have easy access to entertainment facilities as well as a variety of shopping outlets.
- How long have you been living there?
I’ve been living there (since my birth) (for around 12 years).
- Do you think you will continue living there for a long time?
I think so, yes. Actually, my parents and extended family live here and I well connected with them. So, I would live in Shahabad in future as well but yeah I may be visiting to some other country for a short period of time. Just to boost my career.
OR
I don’t think so; actually, I am planning to continue my studies in Canada. But yeah I’ll surely come back after the completion of my course and continue to live with my parents.
- How has your town changed over the last 20 years?
Many new buildings have sprung up compared to the past. Even there has been increased urbanization, better quality housing, and higher living standards.

- Can you describe the place where you live?
Yup…, the place where I live is in a leafy suburb which can be found on the outskirt of the city.
- What kind of housing accommodation do you live in (House or Flat)?
It’s not an ordinary house. Actually, it’s a bungalow which has 4 master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The most interesting part of my house is the garden at front which is well equipped with some swings for the kids and exercise equipment for adults.
- What’s your favourite room in your house?
Woo, my favourite one is the living room. That’s the one, where I spend my most of time in. This room is more of the home theatre room because a big cutting edge led as well as home theatre is installed there.
- How the walls are decorated of that room?
That’s an interesting question. One wall has around 10 to 15 photo frames with some interesting quotes which actually make the real party atmosphere. Other one is decorated with some decors and light. To be honest, the interior of that room is designed according to my taste.
- What can you see from the windows where you live?
The windows give a wonderful view of the nature especially in the early morning when sun rises and cool air is breezing. On top of that There is big banyan tree just right in front of my house literally enhance the beauty of the view. One can take mind blowing shots every day from the windows my house.
- Do you prefer living in a house or a flat?
I’m not a fan of living in congested area and with some restrictions. I love spacious place that house provides.
- What would you like to change in your house?
One great add on would be a swimming pool. I am fond of swimming and there is no pool stone throw away my house. You know, normally, I have to take 20 mins ride if I want to go for swimming. Interestingly, there is some empty space in the backyard of my house that can be utilized for the same.
- What do you dislike about your house?
There is only one main thing that I dislike is the terrace. It’s always full with unnecessary stuff. I really hate it.
